Techstars Energy Accelerator 2018

In 2018 we received hundreds of applications. Among these, we selected 10 leading tech and energy startups and offered them a global network of experts from Equinor, KONGSBERG, McKinsey & Company and Techstars. Over the course of 13 intense weeks all of the startup companies accelerated their solution.

Announcements from Demo Day

On Demo Day 6 December all ten companies presented what they have achieved during the 13-week accelerator programme. Check out their incredible accomplishments.

Ampaire
The company has received introductions to some of Norway's most influential leaders in aviation, and intends to fly commercial electric planes in Norway - on the country's lifeline routes. As a result of the program, they have a number of potential partnerships in the works that they hope to be able to announce soon.

Crux OCM
Contracted with Equinor’s Hammerfest LNG facility for an initial installation of Crux OCM software. The company also announced a partnership with Kongsberg Digital to develop Crux’s application for offshore platforms.

Deepstream
Contracted with Aker Energy to be their end to end supply chain solution.

Interface Fluidics
Has completed a project with the Equinor Research and Development Group and signed commitment for fluid testing with Equinor, co-funded by the Equinor Technology Ventures LOOP Program. Interface Fluidics has also received strong interest from the Equinor Norwegian Continental Shelf Southern Operating Group to build toward running tests on offshore platforms.

Opus 12
Has been able to build relationships across the Equinor organization and visit specific assets where their technology could potentially be deployed to recycle CO2 emissions. With continued success, the company can envision opening Opus 12 AS in Norway to deploy projects there.

RatedPower
Rated Power is trying to close a Pilot Project with Equinor. Both Equinor and Scatec Solar have bought an annual  subscription of RatedPower’s software called pvDesign.

SafeEx
SafeEx secured partnerships with Kongsberg and DNV-GL.

Sensytec
Sensytec has commitments from Equinor U.S onshore to pilot their Smart Cement in March 2019 along with Kongsberg Digital. They also have commitments form AF Gruppen a large general contractor in Norway to perform a commercial pilot in 2019.

Versor
After finishing their minimum viable product (MVP), doing a live demo and closing their pre-seed round Versor has been hitting all of its milestones so far this year. The plan to test the “future vison” of drones already before summer 2019.

Voyager
Has an agreement in place with Equinor's digital supply chain team to start scoping pilot opportunities in January 2019. Kongsberg Digital and Voyager will explore opportunities in digitalizing the maritime value chain.
